Everyone has a facebook account and every account has it’s vagaries and features. There are a lot of circumstances that can lead you to change your facebook password. But do not make the mistake of changing your facebook password and think that your job is done. It is not! In fact there are a lot of things you need to do after the password change is done. Let us discuss it today.
All this started one day when I got a lot of emails from facebook saying that I had requested a password change. I had not done anything of that sort. As I got repeated emails, I got a bit worried and thought that I should change my password. I promptly logged on to facebook and changed my password and continued my day. I thought that the job was done. But it wasn’t, it had just started.
The problem started with my wordpress blog, the new posts were not getting reflected on my FB page as they were getting posted on wordpress. That is bad, as I have a lot of my friends following that page on FB. I then logged on to wp, went to the share settings and re-authorized the facebook account. Then the problem was fixed. But quickly I was reminded that it wasn’t!
Then it was the turn of Empire Avenue to go renegade on me. And this was having more impact as my SP and divs were dependent on it. Again I logged on and refreshed the FB credentials on EA. But that was not enough. The FB connection was fixed but my FB page on EA needed another reset. I did that too and that department was handled. On to the next set.
The next set of apps that went bad sat on my Android devices. It started with the actual FB app. And I thought that the token was passed from there to other apps. But no, it was not. I discovered that Instagram was not sharing my photos to FB. Fixed that. Then it was the turn of FlipBoard to go bad, fixed that. Then there was Pulse News, fixed that. Everything on my tab or phone with a share option needed a refresh. Whoo! Lot of time! Did it! But wait!
There was the big daddy of them all, klout! My Klout score stood stationary and My profile showed fb disconnected. Refreshed that and finally I was done! Yay! In that process made a checklist for a blog post and shared it with you guy!
