YotaPhone is an Android smartphone with a regular touchscreen on one side and an E Ink display on the other. At MWC this year, the Russian carrier-turned-manufacturer is showing off an all-new prototype it believes solves many of the original model’s flaws.
Micromax has launched a new Canvas smartphone, the Canvas Lite A92 priced at Rs 8,499. The smartphone runs the Android 4.1 version of Jelly Bean and has a dual-core processor. Micromax said that the smartphone was available in leading stores as of Sunday.
The much-awaited Galaxy S4 mini has arrived. Samsung Electronics has announced the Galaxy S4 mini, a compact version of Samsung’s flagship smartphone, Galaxy S4. The Galaxy S4 mini has a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display and weighs 107g. The pint-sized version of the Galaxy S4 is powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core processor and has 1.5GB RAM. It runs Android 4.2.2 OS.The phone has an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera. The Galaxy S4 mini has an internal memory of 8GB (user-accessible is approximately 5GB). Its memory can be further expanded up to 64GB using a microSD card. The smartphone comes packed with a 1,900mAh battery.
Encouraged by the response to its Galaxy Note series of phones, Samsung has launched two new phablets in India – Galaxy Mega 6.3 and Galaxy Mega 5.8 – at Rs 31,490 and Rs 25,100, respectively.The Galaxy Mega phones are equipped with an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera. Both the Galaxy Mega 6.3 and 5.8 run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and feature a dual-core processor. Both have 1.5GB RAM. Both phablets have an internal storage space of 8GB, which can be expanded up to 64GB using a microSD card.
Samsung has launched the Galaxy Mega 5.8, the company’s latest smartphone in the Mega series in India. The Galaxy Mega 5.8 was announced last month, packs a 6.3-inch HD ( 1280 x 720 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.7 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8MP auto-focus rear camera with LED Flash and a 1.9 MP front-facing camera. and comes with dual SIM support with dual Standby and dual SIM Always On feature that enables the user to receive calls on one SIM number while taking a call from the other.
